COMMUNITY EDUCATION SEMINARS – STRATA COMMUNITY ASSOCIATION (QLD) GENERAL MANAGER INTRODUCED

We are hitting the ground running with our upcoming seminar series on By-Laws – The Good, the Bad and the Ugly (SEQ) and Insurance – Affordability and Accountability (NQ). Showcasing this October – November 2024!

In our North Queensland seminar series, our panel of experts will explore the re-insurance pool touted to assist with making insurance more affordable and also accountability of the insurers and brokers entrusted to provide the best value insurance cover terms for strata clients. They will explain the current status of the re-insurance pool and how to best utilise the options. They will also detail what measures are in place to disclose who is actually receiving your payment for insurance cover, what service is provided at each stage to receive any payments for managing your insurance policy and compulsory payment disclosure requirements along with additional best practice requirements to be totally transparent.

This week we are eager to announce our first Strata industry expert panellist who will speak at our upcoming education seminars we are hosting across North Queensland.

Introducing Laura Bos, General Manager – Strata Community Association (QLD)

Laura Bos is the General Manager of Strata Community Association (QLD), the peak professional body for professional strata management in Queensland. She has been a strong and active advocate for strata reform, believing it is critical that Queensland has a thriving, customer-focussed and sustainable strata sector to meet the challenges we face now and in preparedness for the growth of strata-living in the future.

Laura brings to the sector more than 30 years’ experience specialising in advocacy, stakeholder engagement, business development, and marketing and communications across the public, private and not-for-profit sectors. She is a competent board member, who currently serves on a number of foundation boards, offering extensive experience in strategy and governance.
With a proven track record in delivering complex and diverse projects, Laura is passionate about proactive, ethical and engaging leadership.
