Community Education Seminars – Registrations Open!

Its that time of year again. Our Smart Strata community education seminars are fast approaching. Twice a year Smart Strata proudly delivers a seminar series to Queensland connecting the strata community to strata professionals.

Our next seminar series will be no different, as you will see, as we unveil our speaker line-up over the coming weeks.

Designed to educate, engage and connect with both experts and suppliers these seminars deliver a range of advice that you would ordinarily pay thousands for, and teaches strata committees how to deliver to best practice standards.  And they are spread all over Queensland so that you get to be face to face to get your strata questions answered.

The topic for this upcoming seminar series is… By-laws: Are they worth the paper they are written on?  

In this seminar series our panel of strata experts will explore:

• What are by-laws?
• Why are they necessary?
• How are by-law breaches reported?
• Who are the by-law police?
• When should you just “Love Thy Neighbour” instead?

Feedback from our May seminar series centered on by-laws and their perceived ineffectiveness.  When it comes to disputes in strata communities, the top 4 strata issues we hear most about are illegal parking, noisy/large pets, noise disturbances from Air BnB guests and passive smoke drift from balconies.

Are by-laws the answer to avoiding or resolving these issues? Join us as we put a spotlight on this important topic and uncover the answers to your by-law questions.

Over the coming weeks, we will introduce you to our expert panel of speakers and share with you their long history in the strata industry.
