Sedgwick building consultancy division (formerly known as Sergon Building Consultants) was initially set up in 2002 to service the Insurance Industry for Forensic Building Inspections. Under the Sedgwick brand, we now form part of the largest claims management business in the globe today.

From the beginning, we established a team of Builder Qualified Consultants to perform investigations into Building defects. To this date, the Sedgwick Building consultancy division team consists of more than 100 staff skilled and qualified in various fields of speciality including Building Consultancy, Forensic Engineering, Quantity Surveying, and Construction Management.

Sedgwick are the sole provider of Home Warranty service to the QBCC (Queensland Building and Construction Commission), managing all defect, subsidence and non-completion claims for the past 5 years.

Sedgwick’s Building consultancy division understands the complexity of strata claims when it comes to managing all stakeholders involved. Our technical capability has seen us inspect more than 20,000 properties and provided remedial solutions for over 100,000 building defects, ranging from basic painting defects to complex structural and waterproofing failures.
