Company Background

SPECIALIST SERVICES TO BODY CORPORATE - Queensland Building Matters

COMMUNITY TITLE LIVING, COMMERCIAL PROPERTIES

Queensland Building Matters offers a unique service to community title property owners to help understand their rights, responsibilities, and entitlements under the provisions of the Queensland Building and Construction Commission Act 1991.  Building Matters Queensland not only provides mediation and dispute resolution assistance, but we also:

  • Act as a conduit between the owners/their appointed committees and the builder to deal with concerns relating to building defects.
  • Source specialist consultants for undertaking investigations and providing expert opinion
  • Preparation and submission of Queensland Building and Construction Commission complaints, including all associated documentation.  The size of the complex/building is no problem.
  • Complete management of building defect complaints by acting as advocate for the owners to achieve the best outcome possible.
  • The ability to review the basis of any QBCC decision and advise on possible paths forward.

At Building Matters we provide an efficient, professional service underpinned by over 24 years of experience working in the building industry in Queensland, an in-depth knowledge of the legislation upon which it functions, and our superior mediation skills to achieve the best outcome for our clients.  Building Matters offers a viable alternative option to the legal pathway, however it is to be recognised that advice given is neither legal nor technical in nature.

We offer practical support for homeowners and property investors – local, interstate and overseas, and body corporate property managers.  We strive to achieve the best outcome possible for our clients.

Building Matters plays a valuable role in successfully striking the balance between differing expectations.
